Who we are

Sri Astro is operated by StarLight Solutions. This policy explains how we handle information when you use our Android app, website, customer support, and related services. You can contact us at sriastroasia@gmail.com.

Information we collect

• Account information: your phone number, login verification records, account ID, preferred language, and support requests.
• Birth and profile details: your name, date and time of birth (or that the time is unknown), birthplace, optional gender, concerns you enter, and selected AI guide.
• Activity in the app: your chat messages, generated AI replies, calculated birth charts, Upaye plans, completed actions, streaks, and check-ins.
• Subscription information: subscription status, billing period, payment and mandate references, and transaction events. Payment credentials are handled by the payment provider, not stored as card or UPI credentials in Sri Astro.
• Technical and usage information: app version, device/platform information, screen views, selected actions, and diagnostic information where analytics is enabled. The website host may process standard connection logs such as IP address and browser details.

Please avoid sharing information you do not want processed by an AI service in your questions or support messages.

How we use information

We use this information to verify and secure accounts; calculate astrology charts from the birth details you provide; generate AI conversations and Upaye; show your history and progress; manage subscriptions and support requests; diagnose errors; understand how people use the app; and prevent abuse. We use your chosen language to present content. Astrological readings are generated using your chart and the context you provide.

AI and service providers

Your messages, concerns, recent conversation history, and relevant chart context may be sent through OpenRouter to an AI model provider so the app can generate replies and plans. Other providers help us run the service: MongoDB Atlas for application data; Razorpay or another payment provider displayed at checkout for payments; an SMS provider if phone verification is sent by SMS; PostHog for app analytics in builds where it is enabled; and AWS Amplify for hosting this website. These providers process information to deliver their services and may operate outside India. We do not sell your personal information.

Analytics and recordings

Where PostHog is enabled, we associate app events with an internal account ID to understand onboarding, payments, and usage. Our planned event data does not include chat text, phone number, or birth details. Session recording is not currently enabled in the app. If we enable it in a future build, we will update this policy and configure masking for sensitive content before release.

Storage, security, and retention

We use access controls and reasonable technical safeguards to protect account data. No online service can promise absolute security. We keep account information while your account is active and for as long as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, or meet legal and accounting requirements. External payment, messaging, analytics, hosting, and AI providers may retain records under their own policies. This website does not set a Sri Astro advertising cookie.

Your choices

You can edit birth details and language in the app, manage notification preferences, cancel your subscription, or request help. The app includes a Delete Account option that removes account-linked records from our active application database. See our account and data deletion instructions, or email sriastroasia@gmail.com for access, correction, or deletion assistance. Deleting your app account may not cancel a payment mandate already held by the payment provider; cancel the subscription first or contact us for help. Information that another provider must retain, such as payment records required by law, may remain with that provider.

Children

Sri Astro is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly offer accounts to children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can review it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by another appropriate method.
